Nappies

Anyone having any trouble with Aldi nappies? Everyone seems to rave about them however, my baby has been in them since birth (he’s 3 weeks old on Tuesday) and I’ve noticed no issues until now. He wouldn’t ever lay down off me or dad for the first couple of weeks so we didn’t notice but now when we lay him flat on his back within 30 minutes or so he is soaking on one side right up his tummy and back? He lost weight from birth and still isn’t at birth weight yet so it’s not that he needs the next size up yet but I’m at a bit of a loss if this is just that the nappies don’t work for us, is it us putting them on and missing something or has anyone else had this problem? Also, can anyone recommend any other nappies to try? Preferably not the really expensive brands if we can. Thanks guys x

I've not noticed this with the aldi ones, but I also use Lidls Lupilu a lot and would definitely recommend!

We used to use Mamia (Aldi) nappies but found the exact same issue ! We have swapped to Sainsburys own and haven’t looked back since, use them for our 5 day old and 2 year old -

I had this problem with pampers size 0s they always leak! No matter how carefully I put them on. I’ve changed to Morrisons own size 0s and they never leak and are so much better priced ect xxx

Wet on his belly?? R u sure his dinky doo is pointing down??

@Kirstie yeh definitely down as that’s what I thought too x

@Brooke at least I’m not going mad then haha! Thank you x

Thanks everyone 🥰 x

Weve tried a few different nappies. Mamia have been ok but feel a little loose. Naty from sainsburys have been the best and totally leak free for us. Out and kin are the ones that have leaked the most. So we’re going to stick with Naty for a while.

I love Huggies of Huggies essentials. Stay away from Aldi nappies our kids were allergic from they would get rashes or itchy

We’ve just had a leak up the back from Aldi too. Going to see how the next few are incase this was a one off/it was too loose, but have sainsburys & pampers too.

Asda's are good

I thought it was just us too! Returned to pampers

So far tried Aldi's nappies, Sainsbury's, Asda's and Lidl's. No problem at all with Aldi's nappies. The ones from Lidl are also good.

I'm the same,3 week old boy and just keep leaking up the back with Aldi but have also done it with pampers , maybe not as bad. I find the pampers come up bigger than the Aldi size 1. Are they better bigger than smaller? My little one is only just up to birth weight and only 7lb x I've heard good things about Morrisons own brand so may try them

@Helen I can vouch for Morrisons own brand! My wee hit is 7lb 8 at moment and in size 0 and they haven’t leaked once! He was leaking a lot with pampers xxx

Aldi don’t do size 0 do they? I think you need size 0s Tesco or pampers

I hated Aldis newborn nappies and then size 2/3 were fab but one day size 3 randomly kept blowing out so I gave up. I think it’s trial and error on their body shapes tbh! Tescos have worked great for both in 0,1,2 and 4 but 3 were shocking Morrisons are good for my boy but they’re too short in the body for our newborn and don’t work well with her And only tried Sainsbury’s size 2 with our boy but they were good as well

I had leaks with the aldi ones

I have had issues with Aldi nappies too awful nappy rash! the ones I have found work for me are the Fred and Flo ones from tesco x
