Does your LO have a tv in their room?

Going incognito, I know people views on screen time but i have a low sleep need baby that is still up 4 times a night and then gets up just before 5 each day. For my own sanity he watches things on the iPad for an hour whilst I come too and see to our new baby. It’s hard work as he’s always switching the program over and holding it to his eyes. I was thinking of wall mounting a small tv to his bedroom wall and when he wakes up giving him a bottle letting him watch the tv for the hour in his room instead. Curious to know if others do this and whether it works?

We gave our eldest a small tv/dvd player when she was about 2 or 3 for similar reasons. It was a blessing. I was recovering from meningitis at the time and needed more rest. It helped settle her down and give me that extra bit of time.

I personally haven’t but I say do what you need to do to survive. Parenting is hard with one let alone more!x

We haven’t, but as above if it’ll work for you guys go for it. If anything I find they have less ‘side-effects’ from watching tv than an iPad. Not sure what it is about the iPad but it turns them into little demons!

No wouldn’t allow one until older maybe 5ish but my baby doesn’t wake early and also if he did I probably would Give in and allow one younger . Just do what works for you . I don’t think screen time is the devil it’s made out to be as long as it’s not watched all day x

You could think about a tonie box or something similar, my little girl loves hers and will happily sit and play with it for ages! Xx

@Sally yes this - absolute god send for when my boy was 2 and I had a newborn to handle too!
