Breastfeeding positions for tall babies?

My baby is 4 months old but the size of a 6-8month old. I'm fairly short on the other hand. We've been going through a breastfeeding crisis which meant I could only feed her right when she was waking up as she would otherwise get distracted by other things, so we now always feed in the side lying position on our bed. Things seem to get a bit better at the moment and I'm keen to get out of the house plus have some appointments coming up, but she still feeds at least once an hour. She no longer fits on my breastfeeding pillow, so I wouldn't be able to use that. But I need to find other ways to feed her when out and about. We used to do the rugby hold when she was a nb, but then she got too long and would start kicking my chair/sofa. And we did a modified cradle with the pillow which now also no longer works. Does anyone have any experiences feeding a big 4 month old baby who can't sit up yet when out and about?

I also tried the cross koala and koala but she wouldn't latch. I've fairly big boobs, so those didn't work for us. Her mouth was almost at shoulder height

I have small boobs and I’m tall so I can’t help much but something I have seen women with bigger breast doing is hold their boob up/in place for baby….could you try that in koala position…use one arm to hold baby and your other hand to hold your baby at baby’s mouth?

Sorry your boob at babies mouth
