I want my body back!

Hey mommas, my daughter has been breastfeeding she’s now 13 months and I’m ready to be done. She started to bite me and just rips my boob out whenever she can. I’m personally over it, although I understand the nutritional value of breastfeeding in toddler ages… I don’t think I can keep doing it. How do you wean your lo off bf?

Start offering a bottle for one feed at a time, that'll help your body and your baby adjust to combi feeding. Then do two, then three etc. It's so much easier to monitor how much they're getting with formula - like you, I appreciate the nutritional benefits of breastmilk but it's done wonders for my mental health, both being able to have my body back and being able to share the job of feeding. You can always pump and put it in a bottle too, but that can be stressful too.

@Jodie I should’ve mentioned she’s combo fed but mainly when she’s at her dad’s house. I’ll give her a bottle of milk when she’s with me but then she will finish that and try to still get more milk from my chest.

I breastfed my daughter till she was 2 so ofc that's a difficult age to ween off and you wouldn't believe all I did was stop 😂😂 I made sure I always had on a bra and a shirt and she would try to take it out and I would just tell her no, and ofc she had a tantrum but within a week she wasn't even searching for the boob anymore she understood that life was over 😂😂 hopefully this detailed process helps. But the point is just stop and don't tease meaning don't flash booby , don't wear cami t shirts or shirts that shows cleavage and most importantly ASSERTION (don't give in at all no matter what) and PATIENCE (stay consistent and try not to show signs of agitation or aggression)

@Omaria I think this what I have to do! Thank you so muchhh
