Speech

This might be abit of an odd question but just looking to see what others think. (Absolutely not about ‘showing off’ etc before that’s mentioned, so please don’t think that). My LB is 18months today and his speech has been great, he can say so much. He’s recently learned how to count to 10 very clearly as well, and can say the alphabet up to M (then randomly adds in ‘R S T’ 😅). Is that normal? 🤔 My eldest is 3.5yrs and didn’t talk at all until after his 2nd birthday so this is a big difference for us.

All children are different, I wouldn’t worry about it. My daughter is 18 months and saying 120+ words/sentences and sings some nursery rhymes (I write them all down in my notes🤣) xx

I think that makes perfect sense to be honest, I learnt the alphabet in a slightly different way to most people but the way people say L M N O P is very strange and no wonder he’d skip some of it 😂

It's not common, but some babies pick certain things faster, some slower, all variations of normal. Well for clever boy!

My little boy is the same, he can very clearly count to 20 and all the abcs! Been going on for a few months now! Every person that meets him is shocked with how well he can speak! They're just like little sponges taking everything in! Xx
