@Sarah🦄 god bless you 🙏🙏 thank you for saying that.
My daughter will be 2 in February and she says a few words and nothing in a row. But she is SO smart. She’ll get there. My first was talking sentences so she’s so different, but totally normal too. It’s so hard not to compare to other kids and frustrating when other people decide to tell you want your child should be doing.
@S thank you so much. I’ve been getting so down by the comments (I think it’s because I’m 12 weeks pregnant and the hormone is kicking in) my son is super super smart and is saying around 20+ words. I wish there was more kindness from other mums and parents ❤️❤️
No girl all babies learn at there own pace. Dont let anyone having you feeling like his behind. They get there when they are ready
Sounds normal! I thought sentences were closer to 2.5
My girl is 2 1/2 and she’s not even talking , says the odd word and then just makes up her own language, but she’s understands a lot more than what she can say which is the main thing , I wouldn’t worry , they all learn at their own pace :”)
My first son started to speak more only after turning 3, I wouldn't worry just yet. Is he more good in physical activities like climbing and running?
My son is 2 in February and only repeats things. I enrolled him in speech therapy because he lost words. Lots of things can delay speech though. Every child is different and boys tend to be slower with speech than girls. I didn’t speak until I was almost 3 years old
@Santa a pro at climbing and running. He loves to climb up and down steps. So been saying numbers coming down the stairs. The other day he came down and I said ONE then as he was coming down the second step he actually said TWO and then I went on and said THREE as he came down the last step. He new that the number 2 came after the number 1 but yes he loves being outside and climbing and running and fixated on nature and trees and flowers 🌸 he does copy the TV. He loves the wiggles and he copies them. Clapping hands, stomping feet and even tries to breakdance like them
I wouldn't worry then. Someone told me when I was worried with my first that some kids that are not as good in language are better at physics, my son was crazy at playgrounds climbing everywhere and still now is running like crazy. My other one was better at talking and still doesn't love to be very active outside 😁
Speech can start developing at this point I wouldn't worry yet I'd just start trying to repeat familiar phrases maybe teach "can I have" "can I do"
@Heather he has said “I do” when he gets stubborn and wants to do something himself but only has done that a few times. I’m constantly starting more and more. I need to relax more. Thanks for all the advice and stories mum ❤️❤️
Sentences are more like 2-3 which is obviously a big range. By two most kids should be able to say two words together like "sit down" "let's go" so I wouldn't worry at all
Nope all good! My daughter didn't start saying sentences until she was 3 year old.
