Won't go down awake

Our baby is so difficult to settle for bed, always has been and we cannot put her down awake. If we do she will stand and jump up and down screaming 🤦🏼‍♀️ she does this even if she is shattered. Any tips on this? We can already spend an hour and a half trying to get her to sleep so going back and forth isn't really an option, we would be going for hours 😂

We are the same if she doesn't go down on her bottle it takes forever, but if we tap her bum it's semi magic, took forever to figure that out too 🙈

My first always wanted you to leave him alone for sleep she's the complete opposite 😫

A lot of it is to do with temperament. My baby has never and probably won’t until he’s much older go down awake. He either nurses to sleep or I rock him and then transfer. If it’s taking an hour and a half though id look at your daytime routine/ wake windows. It may be the last wake window is too long/ short which is making things more difficult for you x

@Yasmin Yeah the wake window isn't the issue as she will drop off on us it's just not being able to put her down awake ever 😂 we have literally tried everything, she hasn't ever slept well since newborn

Very normal for a baby of this age to need help to get to sleep, albeit hard. Can relate on the poor sleep, we’re averaging hourly wakes at the minute 😭 we never really recovered from the 4 month regression
