18 month old only knows how to say 3 words

My 18 month old only knows 3 words. “Dada, mama and duck.” She speaks gibberish all day long and understands 80% of what I say to her. Anyone else experiencing something similar? I’m thinking of seeing a doctor about this….

Same !! Everything else is on track in terms of physical development Just the speech for us also !! was recommended a hearing test for bubs as when they are trying to understand, it might sound muffled or as if they were under water . We are going Monday next week because mine only says 3-4 also and understanding maybe 60 percent 🙃

Mines only saying mum n dada all the time n says bubbles n now started humming twinkle little star but definitely understands what im saying but cant say anything else and if she does say other words she forgets to keep saying them like shes said in the past wow ,jamie and i love u but they havent stuck Also got told to do hearing and eye test

Okay! Amazing! Thank you ladies. I know my daughter’s hearing is great just because she startles at the most simplest sounds, can hear footsteps from the down the hall etc. I’m sure your babies hearing and vision are fine too but I guess it’s best to check it out. I’ve spoken to a few people now and they’re saying the same thing about their babies. I reckon every baby just develops at their own pace? but I’m also going to seek a doctor, just in case!
