Boy mums and leaky diapers

What did you guys do to not have leaky diapers in the night? Things I've tried: 1. Change after his first wake of the night- this is hit and miss because he would be so wriggly and fussy because his sleep was disturbed that it's very difficult to put a diaper on him. 2. Change diaper brand - used pampers but it's still leaked 3. Changed diaper brand and sized up - only worked for 1 night. Leaked again after the initial nights Ps. I always make sure. His penis is down and the frills of the diaper is all out

I’ve got a baby boy who’s the same but I’ve seen Aldi branded nappies and Tesco branded nappies worked the best. They’re highly absorbent and found it far better than pampers. I haven’t tried the Tesco branded nappies anytime recently and only when he was a newborn but I can deffo vouch for the Aldi ones! Also once I put his nappy on I made sure the back of the nappy is completely flat and not folded, I pull it up a bit too as if you’re putting on pants so it fits better and then readjust the nappy straps if need be. I also make sure the little flutter bits are always out. Not sure if my explanation is clear 😭

Same issue but during the day here 🙈 forever having to fully change him as he’s leaking through. Currently on our 5th brand of nappies! Might as well not put a nappy on him at the rate we’re going! X

Also if a baby is too cold they tend to wee a lot more which can cause leakage especially if it’s only happening at night.

@Naomi have you tried sizing up?

@Paige I haven’t, but only because they seem ‘big’ already. I actually thought are they too big? He seems to be in-between sizes 🙈

Are they tight enough?

I've tried every brand. Top ones for not leaking: size 4 pampers bed time ones (baby 15 weeks old) and size 4 boots own brand. Really rate these. Tesco, Sainsbury's, morrisons, waitrose and lidl all terrible.

@Naomi maybe try sizing down then. I had to with my girl. Some brands are bigger than others.

@Nicola size 4 damnn my little one is 4 months and still in size two

I use tescos and have never had a leak at night, and I don't change him during the night. He's 17 weeks, and his last weight was 15lb at 14 weeks, and he wears size 4. I've tried a few brands including the more expensive pampers, huggies and kit and Kim and Tesco were the best for fit, no leaks and lasting through the night aswell as not swelling like a balloon after one tiny wee. Top tips I was given: Penis down Leg thrills out Straps tight Leg bands pulled down No gaps at top of legs Stretch out nappy before putting on It's hard to really describe in words. We had a few leaks at the start until I asked my HV and mum to check. Not had a single leak since, and I can see straight away when I need to size up. Also, babies are all different shapes and sizes, so a brand that's best for one might be the worst for another. Trial and error

We were struggling with this and it seems to be when ours is done tight enough (its always needed to be tighter than I thought) or sometimes wasn't pulled up high enough

We change him when we go to bed and he just falls back asleep. And then goes from 10pm-7am with a Tesco feed and Flo nappy on

Kin and kin nappies are amazing. Last a long time with lots of wees

We use tesco fred and flo and I've sized up, he sleeps 10/11 hours at night and doesn't leak at all xx

We've never had any leaks with aldi so far. We didn't even change him in the middle of the night if he sleeps through, so from 8pm until 6am next day
