That age isn’t as tough as flying with a toddler tbh, planes are giant white noise machines so baby will probably sleep through most of it! If you bottle feed, you can take as much formula and/or expressed milk on the plane as you want. Have a dummy/bottle ready or be ready to nurse during take off/landing, although my baby slept through it for the most part! Before my daughter could walk, we baby carried in the airport/on the plane rather than take a pram. She loved being carried up and down the aisle smiling at people. If you do take one, it’s easy to check your pram at the gate (although check with your airline I guess) and then it’s ready and waiting when you get off the plane. The changing table in planes is tiny so think carefully about how you pack your carry on so you can grab the essentials quickly. Pack a change of clothes for yourself in your carry on, as well as for baby, high altitude can make for explosive poops 😅 It won’t be as hard as you fear, good luck! ♥️
Best time to fly! I did Australia with a 9 week old and she slept most of the way. Just pack extra clothes in case of a 🤮💩 incident mid air, including for you! Lots of nappies and supplies in case of delays and book the sky cot if there’s availability. Don’t stress about anyone but yourselves xx
My 6 month old did a 9 hr flight and slept there and back. Probably easiest time to fly.
it’s easier than you expect! i definitely recommend bringing some kind of baby carrier, it makes things much easier
I’ve flown several times with my babies when they were 1 (I gave birth abroad twice). I breastfed so that was easy: I wore the biggest light sweatshirt and would breastfeed under it. But you can get a cover… or not :) I would also baby wrap them and as long as they’re against you they sleep in. So it was easy just. Once they turn 1 though all bets are off. 🤣
