Traveling with a 4 month baby

Hello, this will be my first time traveling with my newborn and I'm not sure what is allowed and what not. Especially I don't know if my pram (two piece cybex) is allowed. One of the pieces is the baby cot, so it's not foldable. Does anyone know if it's allowed? Also do you have any advice what should I take with me? Thank you 🫶🏻

Are you travelling by plane?

@Harriet Rose yes

You wouldn’t be able to take this in the cabin, it would have to be checked in. Is your baby sitting yet? You can get travel buggies that can go in the cabin, but I’m pretty sure they’re all ones that have baby in a seated position.

@Harriet Rose I don't mind taking in the cabin in fact, it's fine if it's just checked in. I'm just afraid they won't accept it even at the check in.

No you can check them in but I’d definitely check with the airline first.

I just rented a yoyo (with the newborn attachment, not bassinet) so that I could take it on the plane and store overhead and it was definitely worth it! So much easier than having our big pram on holiday too

You can check both the frame and bassinet in for free as oversize luggage. BA allows two pieces of oversized when travelling with kids. Check your airline’s policy for oversized baggage. We took ours with no problems, just wrap it in cling film. We didn’t want to take a travel pram for our newborn and it proved so handy
