Cradle cap

Can anyone recommend anything for cradle cap? I’ve used Mustela cream and foam shampoo and it hasn’t really worked. Currently using Capasal that was prescribed by doctors but it hasn’t budged. It’s causing her to scratch her head a lot to the point it’s bleeding.. Has anyone used Dentinox? LO has eczema on her face and abit weary of using harsh treatments.

Dentinox worked very well for us and didn’t affect my daughter’s eczema so would give it a go. x

@Elsa how long did it take for it to go?

@Emma about two uses for most of it to go. Then kept using it for the rest and still do as she still gets a tiny bit from time to time. I don’t think it’s that strong for you to worry as they sell it with no prescription and the product recommends to keep using it just so it doesn’t return.

Have you tried using oil on her hair about half an hour to an hour before a hair wash? Gently comb or brush hair. Then during bath use a silicone brush or her hair brush to brush in the shampoo. And then wash off/ massage off with a damp muslin. I used Kokoso coconut oil and artio soap for the above method and it worked. For my first son I used Johnson’s cotton soft baby oil (think it’s been discontinued now) and the capasal shampoo. Again it worked for us. Took a couple weeks max to clear

Either vegetable oil or coconut oil and a soft brush My hv told me all the things on the market can make it worse because of the chemicals etc

soak in Coconut oil

I have previously used organic coconut oil 30 mins before bathing and combed through, omg all of her hair came off 🫠 i will try again it just feels like it comes back so quickly

I found Coconut oil and then the frida cradle cap brush work great. Try avoid chemical products if possible.

I found kokoso helped. It’s organic coconut oil
