Hiding nausea at work

I'm really struggling to hide the nausea at work, i constantly have a horrible taste in my mouth and if I don't eat a bit of dry cracker regularly I start wanting to wretch. Even cold air makes me wretch - not the best since it's freezing at the moment! Any tips for hiding it at work?

Why do you have to hide it? Sour drops helped my nausea, your OB may also be able to prescribe medication to help. I was nauseous all day during my first trimester but my Director is laid back and would let me go into my car to take a rest.

I’m 27 mins just got back

Anything with ginger, I was starting my day with lemon and ginger tea. You can get anti sickness wrist band, I worn it for the first few months. Whenever I was feeling sick, I would press on the pressure point for a few minutes. I also kept snacking, keeping your sugars at same level will help avoiding sickness. I was literally snacking all the morning until dinner time 🤣 and then I would just have one snack a couple of hours after dinner. My nausea was the worst from around 12 till evenings.

@Krystal I'm 6 weeks so nobody at work knows yet. I also work with children and families so have to do a lot of play sessions and meetings. Thanks I will look out for sour drops and consider asking for medication if it gets worse.

@Justyna thanks I have been having tiny pieces of ginger biscuits which help a little bit. I will definitely look out for an anti sickness wristband. Snacking is the only way through!

i’ve just called in sick🤣 i don’t have the energy lol

Anti sickness wristbands helped me the first time. (Nausea not too bad at the moment) others at work were saying ginger biscuits (I’ve not told work but someone else brought it up as randomly), I also know someone who kept sucking mints which helped them.

I had Hyperemesis gravedirum with my last pregnancy and I used to feel like that! Anti sickness medication helped a lot. I tried everything else (like ginger etc) but didn't really help. Vitamin B6 can help & high protein food like meat.

have you tried sniffing alcohol wipes? that’s the ONLY thing that really helped me besides medication. i hope you feel better soon!

@Danielle thank you, mints might be a good one to try and definitely going to try the wristbands.

@Nons sorry to hear that. I don't actually vomit, just want to a lot! I will try to get a bit more protein in, thanks.

@vanessa no but we have them everywhere at work so I will try to do it subtly, thank you

Chewing gums! Spearmint, absolutely lifesaver
