Baby not bearing weight

Hiya! Just wondering whether any other babies are still not bearing weight on her legs? Even when held under her arms, she generally won't even put her feet down I know it's not a milestone, but she isn't even crawling or moving yet and it's starting to get me anxious

I would maybe get in touch with your doctor or HV. I know every baby develops at different rates but I would’ve said that maybe she should be doing one of them things by now. Can she sit unsupported?

I would contact your HV for advice. If they think she needs referred they will or will tell you when to contact them again by if there has been no improvement.

@Julia she sits very well unsupported. She is starting to roll more, but hates being on her tummy despite me persevering so it's probably why

Just to add, she has seen the health visitor and doctor but her referral appointment isn't until March

I’m not the biggest fan of jumperoos but have you tried one of them to see if that may help with weight bearing by encouraging her to stand?x

@Julia she goes in one, but for only around 15 minutes a day to limit any issues. Concerned doing it more often will create issues around tip toe walking

I would try to not worry until your appointment in March. I know it’s easier said than done.

Mine wasnt until about a week ago and then all of a sudden shes starting pulling up to stand every 2 mins

My LB was much the same and i will say our jumperoo has helped - we dont use it lots but putting him in it before he would just float and not use his legs and now he is jumping constantly & starting to plant his feet when held up etc! Not everyones cup of tea but i feel it helped x

My little boy is exactly the same, our HV was very against any jumperoo type things so wouldn’t say to use one really. My boy rolls to get where he wants he doesn’t crawl and doesn’t bear weight on his legs he just goes into an L shape when i try😂 he had his HV check last month and they were too fussed so id try not to worry x
