Steak & Ale Pie….

I’ve googled this for hours on end but can’t find a definitive answer 🫠 Can I eat steak & ale pie from a restaurant? I was told the alcohol evaporates when cooked but it doesn’t seem a very clear answer online? Trying to plan what I want from a pub menu and I just want pie & mash and there’s no other alternative 😩😩
