Grunting?

I’m a FTM and My baby girl is now 3 weeks old and she’s started to do a weird grunt in her sleep occasionally. Does anyone else’s baby do it? I checked for symptoms of colic/gripe but she has none. Any advice

Yeah, it’s completely normal. Newborn babies are just really loud sleepers. Their active sleep is full of grunting and groaning. I often get woken up by it, get milk ready and my little one is still very much asleep. I’d recommend white noise so it at least evens out some of the sound for both of you and you disturb each other less from every noise. When baby is hungry, they will let you know by getting louder or crying out. Congrats on the new bubba. 🥰

Oh the grunting is insane that’s definitely something I wish we got warned about 😂 My little one will start screaming and i do the same, get up and get everything ready for a feed and she’s still fast asleep

@Ash @Lauren Oh thank you so much! I was so worried. I was going to get her gripe water anyway just in case. I’ve also just gotten everything ready for a nappy change and feed but she’s still sleeping😂 I’ve noticed it only happens when she’s sleeping anywhere but my arms🤔

My little one grunts, snores, pants and randomly lets out a loud squeal like a cat which scares the life out of me 😅😂 x
