Toddler issues

Has anyone here had their 2-3 year old toddler scream at them that your an ass hole or a dick and glare at you? These issues started after we left his grandmas house last month. And it’s random too, he could be in a great mood smiling and happy and all this sudden it’s like a switch turns on and he can’t s angry yelling and the starts calling us names and we haven’t even done a thing. We could be in a completely different room. And lastly has any ladies here had any of there toddlers want nothing to do with their dad and only want you and you alone to do everything for them? And I mean EVERYTHING!

Do you have any idea who he may be picking up that language from? That language and the glaring aren't something 2/3 year olds instinctively do. That's a learned behavior 😔 any older siblings, cousins he could've picked that up from?

No cause we don’t do that and there are no other kids in our house and he doesn’t go to daycare. He just recently started glaring at us this month. And he started saying this at the ending of last beginning of this month he will say no one loves me when he is mad. But idk why cause I have never said I don’t love him nor have I ever given him a reason to think I don’t love him. Everyday I show him how much he means to me the best I can and we always have fun together , however tonight he told me he doesn’t like my mom but when I asked why he would t tell me then o asked again and said was she mean to you? And he didn’t say a thing. So I processed and asked again for a third time did something happen and I didn’t hear everything he said but he said something along the lines of she hurt me. Luckily for him I don’t talk to her anymore tho for many reasons. However she is lucky cause other wise I may end up in jail lol.

It sounds like he may of picked that up from your Mom. I'm sorry you're going through that- just reading that breaks my Momma heart so I can only imagine how much that must hurt you. And thank goodness you don't talk to your Mom anymore. Unfortunate that's where y'alls relationship is, but also can't have ANYONE like that around kiddos. But continue reassuring him that you love him like you're already doing❤️. He knows you love him, he just needs extra reassurance. And then keep encouraging him to open up about what happened at Grandma's/ where he heard those words from whenever he's in a regulated, calm state. And the times he gets really upset and he starts using those mean worlds, just encourage him to use more appropriate ways of expressing his feelings and practice that also when he's calm so that he has a better idea of how to handle those big feelings, preemptively❤️. Keep showering him with extra tlc and eventually those behaviors will cease. He just really needs his Mommas love right now.

Ok I will try that. He also does this really scary glare where he puts his head down and looks up at me with this evil stare it’s almost as if a switch turns on and then after it happens where he looks at me with that evil look he will either start calling me and my husband names and then glare at us or he will come out of it a few seconds later and be his normal self. It’s so weird he has been picking at his butt too. I feel as if none of this is normal. And I only have women on peanut to talk to because I am new to roseburg and don’t have many friends

My toddler has meltdowns and gets frustrated and screams when he gets frustrated but he doesn’t use that language because he has never learned it. Someone has taught him that behavior and language and he is repeating it. Toddler tantrums for no apparent reason are normal, but the rest of what you described is not. Sounds like he doesn’t feel safe with dad or your mom.

My toddler has been screaming lately whenever she doesn't get what she wants and when her dad puts her to bed (sometimes with me at bedtime too). It's normal behavior at this age to scream and glare ( my girl does this too) but the swearing isn't - its learned. He probably needs extra mom love right now, as this age emotional control is real difficult to navigate.

Sounds like grandmas house is where hes learning this from?
