Stuttering

Is anyone else’s kids suddenly stuttering a little? My LO is a really good talker and has been for quite some time. But recently he has been stuttering a little and is having trouble finding the words to say. Is anyone else experiencing this? Google and other forums say it is a normal developmental stage but just wanted to see what everyone else is experiencing.

Yes, same exact experience. Shes always been way ahead when it comes to talking and recently she started stuttering a bit.

@Meghan Hoffman Have you brought it up to your doctor at all? Online says to give it time. It seems like it is developmental but I worry.

Mine too. I think my LO has recently learned so many new words that he has to take some time to chose the words he wants to say.

@Jenny same here! I can have full on conversations with my son and I am like how do you even know how to say that?! It really seems to be a developmental thing.

Sorry for the late response, my LO just had her well check appointment today and I brought it up. Her doctor said it's super common at this age especially for girls. Basically just to many thoughtsswirling around their head at once and their brain is working faster than their mouth can keep up.

Her doctor didn't seem concerned at all
