We have some magnatiles and some Connetix, and a box of random ones from amazon. All are great! We only bought the Connetix ones when on sale (still extortionate) and other people bought him the rest. But they are really good quality and they’ll get played with for years now there’s a little brother too. So I’m hoping worth the investment! He really likes playing with them- and it’s one of the few toys I find easy (not brain numbing) to play with, with him. He’s got road topper ones for Christmas which I know are going to be a big hit!

@Claire Yep. The main difference seems to be how the magnets are positioned or encased in the plastic, but the ones we have all work together well enough.

As all above have said , get the branded ones as they tend to be safety tested. Not cheap but safety never really is and magnetic tiles are the best!
You can buy any from Amazing buy a bigger bundle as u can build big towers ramps all sorts as u will end up playing with the kid they are just fab
My little boy loves his. We just got them off amazon. Not the cheapest but middle range an they are fine! Wouldn't pay the price of the expensive ones!!
