Combat instructor Marine Corps

My husband just got approved for Combat instructor duty. From what he's told me he'll be hella busy for those 3 years. Anyone got experience with this? I'm planning on getting pregnant within the next year, do you know if he'll still get the 3 months paternity leave? I'm a little anxious how I'll cope with my now 9 month old (by then toddler) and then possibly a newborn on top, but I don't want a large age gap as I'm already 30 and want them close together. Please tell me I'll be fine and can do this, single moms do it I will be able to handle this right? 🥺

He is authorized 12 weeks of paternity leave, but his leadership can have him take it in blocks depending on operational commitments. It is possible he can take all 12 weeks at once, but I'd plan for the potential of it not occurring. You will be fine. You got this!
