How long ?

My nearly 14 month old has just started taking 1 and 2 steps and dropping to the floor , also standing unsupported for 10 to 20 seconds, how long will it take for her to walk? What can I do to help as well? TIA x

We went from this to 10-12 steps before falling in around a week but every LO is different. We just placed objects close to encourage him to get brave and lots of praise x

We went from a few steps to across the room in about 2 weeks. She also cruises along furniture rather than dropping to crawl now too. She much prefers being up on her feet.

My boy went from 1-2 steps & cruising everywhere, to full time walking in about 6 weeks x

Was about 2 weeks for us x

In my experience from when I was a nanny it really depends on the child and their temperament. Some are daring and ready to give it a go (and accept the toppling over when it happens!) whilst others like to play the long game and wait until they feel really confident. You can try putting two things near each other that she could take a couple of steps between (ie the sofa and a coffee table), but really it’s just a waiting game 😊

We started doing that just before his birthday in late October. He’s now doing more steps of his own free will but not fully walking just yet, only short distances but he is super happy with himself when he does. It’s really cute. Having said that he had several weeks not walking at all because he was poorly. So I’d say a couple of months maybe x

About 3 weeks for us Take her everywhere I took mine to the playground before walking just carried him to different equipment or as it was summer let crawl with thick enough trousers or cruise. Take to playgroups with children over 1 to Watch them walking. I am sure this makes a difference. My child walked days after a soft play date with a child who was 6 months older! He always learned things from her Give lots of encouragement don't hold hand but just step further and further away and encourage her to go to you. Be positive about it without pressure or impatience ♥️♥️♥️ take lots of videos the stumbling stage is so cute
