Yeah we tried upping from 4oz to 5 made him well more bloated just have to give more often. Plus I think all babies suffer because their digestive systems are so immature x try creating movement after bottles: bicycle legs and all that x

Thanks @Amy how often are you feeding

How often are you feeding? I spoke to my midwife and HV about this when we were feeding every 4 hours, and they recommended trying to consistently feed every 3 hours to get an extra feed in, rather than go up anymore mls in a sitting to avoid bloating/trapped wind! Not sure if this makes sense, but instead of us doing 150mls for 6 feeds (every 4hours) which means baby gets 900ml total in a day, we do 130mls for 8 feeds (every 3 hours) which means baby gets 1040ml total for the day! Also means there is room to miss a feed in the night if they sleep longer and still get more food in them, or not worry if they don’t finish a whole bottle sometimes too!

Hi @Scarlet 🤍 thank you so much makes so much sense I’ve been feeding my LO every three/four hours but the intake has been too much even when she demands it ill give your suggestion a go and speak with the HV on my next app thank you

@Raihana you’re welcome!! I was really struggling too, but have found it so much easier since we’ve consistently been doing 3 hours instead of 4! Also makes it so much easier now he can sleep longer at night, or if he’s having a bit of a fussy day and only takes 110 in a feed rather than 130!

We are in aptamil and he farts like a trouper!

@Kati aww same I’m going to try scarlets method and maybe the new Kendamil brand milk Ive seen in a yellow box had no oils

@Raihana probably between 3-4 hours. Sometimes he’s takes the whole 4oz sometimes 3/3.5 x
