Trouble pooping?

Anyone else’s LO spend an age tensing and straining trying to poop? He is fed Aptamil at the moment, but we do have some Kendamil..is it worth switching to see if it helps?

We r on kendamil and not had trouble pooping. Sometimes 3 a day.... but if it works just be careful cuz it is mega hard to get hold off atm... have u tried bicycle legs

Yep we have the same but I’m breast feeding, we got told that our little ones have to learn to poo and it can take some time so maybe that?

@Kirstie tried bicycle legs and it’s hit or miss as to whether it will help! I have seen the Kendamil struggle which is why I am hesitant to switch. Hopefully it’s just a short lived problem and he can poop in peace soon🤞🏼

@Senga fingers crossed for your little one too!🤞🏼

@Georgia fingers crossed hun. X

@Senga also struggling and baby is breast feeding

My LO seems to struggle specifically in the evening, and wants feeding through it, leading to more blockage and spit up 😅 surviving, not thriving 😬 trying lots of baby massage, movement and bicycle legs!

@Rachel have you tried anything? We’re on infacol and she’s also on omeprezole at the moment

My 5 week old is formula fed and has struggled for weeks to poo, sometimes going 2-3 days. It’s terrible and the health visitor just keep saying it’s ok because he is passing wind but it’s so hard on him 😣

I switched from Aptamil to Kendamil and immediately saw such a difference. He went from straining and tensing and days to poo, to now pooing with ease !

@Lenaya I am tempted to give it a go because it’s horrible seeing him struggle. I have some ready to feed bottles of Kendamil so maybe I ease him into those gently if I see no improvement!

@Senga we tried infacol but don’t think it’s helped really

I switched to kendamil this morning the gas and poops plus bloat were not kool as soon as I moved to 4 to 5 oz on aptamil I noticed it was causing major blowouts she seems happier

It could be Dyschezia. If it is, they will grow out of it as they learn how to poo. It can look painful but isn’t. Worth a google as anything you give them won’t necessarily help. Massage, baths and bicycle legs will
