How are his poos? Does he cry when wind comes out (burp &/or fart) if he struggles with pooping I wouldn’t recommend baby gaviscon as this can cause constipation. I was recommended a milk thickener (carobel I think it’s called) but I didn’t use it as after she had a poo after being constipated for a couple of days everything went back to normal so didn’t feel the need. If he is spitting up a lot during or after feeds this is usually a sign of reflux as is projectile vomiting- you’re doing the right thing by keeping baby in an up right position and burping often if no improvement id go to drs to see what they recommend for him. I was also told by my HV to feed little and often but that obviously depends on how hungry baby is when you begin feeding xx
He might need more winding, sometimes my baby boy becomes really uncomfortable even up to an hour after a feed and will squirm and cry, and if I wind him another burp usually comes up. He wakes up like it as well sometimes. He has reflux too and can really struggle during the feeding or straight after to bring up any wind. We sometimes use infacol when he really suffers, and that helps a lot with his colic and reflux and he will bring up lots of big burps x
@Natalie yeah maybe not that long so will try keep upright as long as possible before changing x
@Jess I do try and wind as much as I can. Don’t like infacol gives him upset belly and makes it worse I think x
@Megan yeah poos are good he does cry when he needs to farts/ comes out but is ok after that Defo gonna mention at his 8 weeks jab app x
@Amy my boy is the same, I’ll keep winding him and I get nothing but when he squirms I’ll try again and usually something comes up. We’ve spent a few days without infacol and he has stopped being sick too x
How long after when you feed him, do you put him down? My LG has reflux. She's on gaviscon from the doctors, but we wait 15 - 20 mins until we put her down and change her before a feed, and we've noticed her reflux isn't half as bad xx
