Hey ladies I would like to ask which hospital is best for delivery if you’re low risk, and hoping to have a pool birth/hypnobirth? Feel free to share your experience🥰🤗

Wythenshawe has the most birth pools out of the st Mary’s trust hospitals, it has 5 rooms and a pool in each room and apparently the least amount of people go to wythenshawe out of the three hospitals which means you’ll be quite likely to get a pool there. I had my first birth there and would definitely recommend, the staff were lovely and very respectful of your space and birth preferences. They had mood lighting, birth balls and stools, got me toast or juice if I wanted it, it’s honestly lovely. I’m having my second at north Manchester general and apparently they only have two birth pools so not feeling too confident about that as I really relied on the pool for pain relief. Good luck! Xx

i also gave birth at wythenshawe it was a good hospital to give birth in, they asked if i wanted a pool and i went in the pool room straight away while they were setting the pool up then my contractions became unbearable so i changed my mind about a pool birth & they took me to the other room where i had a natural birth instead, it was my own room & i got to keep it to myself for the full 24 hours i was there instead of going into a ward with a bunch of other women which is good as i couldn’t imagine sharing a room in that much pain. would recommend going there cos i know in other hospitals they usually put you in a room with loads of other women & babies. 💕

Thank you ladies for sharing your experiences. I was really hoping to go with Wythenshawe, I am just worried about the distance my last two labours were induced and pretty chilled but idk what to expect this time around as this was years ago😅. Wythenshawe is about 30-40 mins from me without traffic😩.
