Mummy in need of advice

My 2 year old toddler refuses to sleep in his bed I’m currently sat with him in his room I’m 22 weeks pregnant and it’s draining me so much any tips or advice he has a lamp in here and Alexa playing lullaby’s or bed time sorry he won’t let me leave the room he will kick off and climb over his gate. I’m really struggling with this he needs to be in his own bed especially before baby is born. Any advice ?

It's completely normal, they go through another "regression" at this stage. I'd say try to stick to a routine, mine is still using a pacifier and taking a bottle of milk before bed. Sometimes they regress as there's a sibling coming so they want to be babied again. Try also with a nice plushie that he can hug. I also don't use lamps as that way she doesn't even want to climb out if bed as it's dark in the room. You can also try with bargains: if you sleep in your bed, I'll bring you a cupcake for breakfast. If he has a friend at nursery I would let him know that he/she sleeps in their bed because they are very brave (try to use jealousy basically lol). My toddler sleeps with rain music on all night. I put her in bed and we cuddle in her bed then I get up and give her a bottle and her pacifier and tell her I'll see her in the morning. If it needs to be do lock the door of his room (I would wait at the front of his door to then come in and console him and put him in bed again)❤️
