Potential Autism Sign?

Online information makes it so hard to not worry about everything with your babies. I've noticed my little one does this, I think it's mainly when she gets excited but does this look like stimming to anyone? She doesn't show any other signs, she responds to her name, great eye contact etc.

Your baby looks tiny. They’re learning how to use all their body parts. I doubt this is a sign of autism, especially with how young she looks. So many totally normal developmental things can also be signs of autism, but they wouldn’t be present in isolation. Don’t Google stuff!

@GMF she's 9 months this weekend! Thank you for your reply! I know, Google is a dangerous tool🤦🏽‍♀️

Normal ☺️ my LG is 11 months and does this when she is excited or if she wants something, and sometimes if she’s just really intrigued by something! xx

LOOOOL I’ve legit just took my same video of my daughter ( would share but I don’t post her online ). I’ve got autism myself so it’s about 80% chance my daughter will have it. BUT I do think it’s just a play thing my daughter does it when she’s happy which is a “stimming thing” I am not worried. Babies can’t display symptoms at this young age it not possible yet they not are developed enough. 7 months old here

Lots of the signs of autism are developmentally appropriate at this age which is why you wouldn’t get an autism diagnosis this young as it’s impossible to tell. They only become a sign of something else if they’re still present in much older children x

Super normal! Mine did this al the time but grew out of it and now he’s 2 he never does it x

Potentially an autism sign LATER in life. For right now it’s normal.

Totally normal ! I worried about it too and regret it now. Wish I didn’t google and get myself down a rabbit hole.

My baby use to do this up until 13/14 months when she wanted something or was annoyed or excited it was definitely stimming however she’s stopped now she’s 18 months

My baby does this all the time 😂never once worried! Stay off google! X

I have Autism and worry about every little thing with my daughter. My pediatrician told me that if she’s still doing the things I’m worried about when she’s 2 or 3, then we can have a conversation about it. For now it is just her exploring her body and environment. My daughter throws her head back over and over when she’s happy. Ped said she probably just thinks the movement is fun.

Stay away from google it ll depress you and turn you into unqualified doctor .
