Lumps under wound

I have a c section two weeks today, all went smoothly and had a v-pac dressing on for a week after. Today after I’ve been out and about all day I’ve got in the shower and when drying found lumps on both ends of the wound just above. Has anyone else had similar? They aren’t viable but easy to find when feeling the area

Could be swelling due to the healing process. Isit warm to touch?

@Sarah Very slightly, going to keep checking and hope it doesn’t get warmer. I’ve got a real overhang so it’s a bit difficult to differentiate the heat sometimes. Fingers crossed it’s healing okay. Been really lucky so far with it x

I have a few of these as well, I had my c-section on the 4th and doctor said it is probably scar tissue where the stitches are/were. I still have a few stitches left in that didn’t dissolve so that what he thinks the “pumps” are. I’ve got a real overhang too!

Sounds to me like scar tissue?? I heard also that they cut the layer under the skin a little above so the scar tissue can cause the overhang look

Yes it’s normal I had the exact same thing with both c-section scars one going up and down (near belly button) and one going hip to hip

If its the very ends it could be the stitches pulling both where they started and tied it up

I had the same, hard spots on either end of the incision, along with redness, swelling, and weaping of the wound a bit about 2 weeks pp. I went to get them checked at the ER. For me they ended up just being inflammation from not taking enough time to heal and trying to get up and do things too often. I have a connective tissue disorder so I heal a bit slower than average, so listening to standard wisdom was moving too fast for my body. They did want to make sure I wasn't getting an infection or getting pockets of serous fluid build up or anything like that, but a quick ultrasound and some blood work and that was all cleared and was sent home with instructions to take it easy. It's best to get it checked just incase since either an infection or serous fluid build up can mess you up, but I wouldn't be too anxious about it in the meanwhile

I have the same thing , I have just been massaging it hoping it just goes away. I’ve heard that it does go away but everyone is different.. started massaging around 4 weeks but it’s really whenever you feel comfortable / able to

I had a few bigger than 50p sized ones after my last baby didn’t get them with my first. Turned out to be nothing and went away after a while. But I was told originally it could be a hernia and i was already being treated for an infection so the doctor said they would help

Thank you all for your help, I’ll keep an eye on the area and ring the doctor if I think it’s turning more sinister ❤️
