Baby breech

If the baby is breeched at 33 weeks is there a chance she will come to her position by the time I deliver?

Absolutely

There's a chance but I don't think it's that high. Mine was like that, we tried to turn him around then, he wouldn't, so I had to have a c-section.

@Kai which week did you deliver?

I got scheduled for 37+6 My son was due and born during a busy time, otherwise I'd have been scheduled for closer to due date

@Kai Oh I see. Hope you and the baby are healthy 🫶

Yes, we are, thank you. He's 5.5 months now, came out at 7 lbs 5 oz even though he was 2 weeks early, which makes me kinda glad he came when he did, or I'm guessing he'd have been at least 8 lbs.

He's currently a very happy 5.5 month old who is already trying to crawl, walk, and talk already.

My son was breech too, he wouldn’t turn at the ecv. So i had to get a c section. My water broke 4 days before my due date and when he came out, they found out that he was too big to turn. He was born 7 lbs 14 oz and tbh im glad i got that c section lol. At first i was nervous and wanted a natural birth but tbh i would get a c section again.

My first was breach until around 37wks and I had growth scan and he had turned as the 34 scan he was breach.

My little girl was engaged for a vaginal delivery at 35 weeks but all of a sudden tossed and turned and was breech by 36 weeks. I had to have a c section because by week 37 she was transverse and the cord was presenting. She was born at 38+1. I hope yours will turn around :)

Mine was breeched at 32 weeks (weighing 5lbs 13oz) but flipped by 36 weeks (weighing 7lbs 9oz). He came out weighing 9lbs 3oz… after 26 hours of labour, they determined he was breeched again. And I needed a c-section. Whether he was flipped the whole time and someone messed up my 36 week scan? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Or did he flip between 36 weeks and 38 when I delivered? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Or flipped between the beginning of my induction to the section? 🤷🏻‍♀️

As someone who just went through this and stressed myself out for no reason, yes it’s possible for them to change positions. I was 33 weeks and baby went from sideways to breech. Now at 35 weeks he’s head down and in the right position. Baby’s can switch right up until birth. I went in 6 hours before I went into labor with my 1st because he wasn’t moving as much (of course he put on a show when I got to the hospital😅). He’d been in great position my whole pregnancy and he was literally breech when they checked me but then when I had him he was back into the right position and I had no issues

@Mackenzie oh my God. So happy for you!! I have been so stressed because of this. I hope my baby comes in the right position 🤞🏻

I should add I did things to encourage him to move. Check out spinning babies on YouTube. I also utilized my yoga ball. Sleeping only on my left side with a pillow inbetween my knees and not slouching when I sat (which isn’t comfy but I know it’s helpful 😅).

@Mackenzie Thank you for the tip!!

Yes! My baby also breeched. I was presented with three options, schedule a c section (if the baby turned by that appointment then we continue to wait for when he wants to come out), try to turn him (it’s painful and the baby can turn back) or see what happens when I naturally go into labor (if he turns then we can deliver vaginally, otherwise it’ll be a c section). I scheduled a c section on the week of my due date just in case and if I didn’t need it then my doctor will cancel it. By the time I had my doctor’s appointment 2 weeks before my due date, my baby was head down. Three days later, he was born 🙂
