How to transfer baby to bassinet?

My son and I have been co-sleeping for about 3 weeks now (only reason i started is he doesnt like sawddles and his moro reflex starles him awake after 5-10 mins and i seem to be able to get more sleep when he's next to me. I would be only getting 30 mins here and there and with him sleeping next to me i grt anywhere from 1-2 hours after each wake/feed) but my husband and mother-in-law don't like it and have been pushing me to get him to sleep in a bassinet. We got a bedside bassinet today, and I'm so nervous to put him in here. We contact nap almost all day during the day because he doesn't like it when I put him down. He's also been in him screaming stage for 3 weeks when he's not sleeping. He's either very fussy or just screaming/crying. I really don't want to stop co-sleeping as I honestly love the closeness, but they keep pushing it, so I said I'd try. Anyone got any tips on transferring an almost 2 month old? He usually wakes up anywhere between 5-10 minutes sometimes shorter when I put him down.

Tell them if they don't like it, then they can try transferring and putting him back to sleep when he inevitably wakes up

@Jess it's not just my MIL, It's my husband.

Some babies (both of mine included) just don’t transfer especially when their small. Why are your husband and mil pushing for the transfer? If they’re not doing night shifts i dont think its up to them and I’d stick with your guns on cosleeping. As a side note my daughter was super fussy too and we took her to an osteopath- overnight she was a different baby when awake (still velcro baby though) but its worth checking out!!
