Has your child ever watched something you thought looked innocent but ended up finding out that it isn’t….

For example a cartoon on YouTube which looks fine and innocent but then you find out it’s gory in some parts

Ahhaha no but you’ve just reminded me of when our Catholic primary school deputy head put on Monty Python and the Holy Grail for us after our year six SATs because she thought it was a religious film about a snake 😂

@Madeleine i love these sorts of stories 😅 Way back when you used to rent dvds, my mum got my Grandad and Grandma some old war film, they put it on and started playing it, and basically it had been returned with the wrong disk and it turned out to be a borderline porno 😂 they watched 20 minutes before coming to find us and saying "i dont think this is the right film...." 🫣😂😂😂 These things happen. There are plenty of things throughout the day i feel guilty for, intentionally or not. Don't beat yourself up.

Nope! I don’t ever let her watch YouTube. Only kidstube which I have picked every video on there which is mainly just Bluey episodes, blippi episodes, Disney clips etc. I absolutely refuse to let her watch kids play with toys or even weirder adults play with toys or dressed up! It’s so odd

Not my kid but my little brother. I looked over one day and the video that was on was a very sexual cartoon

She used to watch peppa on YouTube but I started listening to it and it was some married man playing with peppa toys, like a creep. And then I looked through the peppa playlist and it was all sorts of wrong. So, now we just stick to Disney+ or kids films in general.

I had a friends son that used to watch my little pony on YouTube. Turned out it was adult themed which seems really weird.

I don't allow YouTube. I will play specific videos but it's a huge risk I don't want to take.
