Children’s tv shows

Hi all! My LG has had no screen time since she was born and next year we will start to introduce short periods of her watching tv. I have seen a lot of conversation around certain programmes that are negative for children such as coco melon. If you could please help and confirm what programmes you would be ok with your LO watching and ones you definitely wouldn’t be (with reason) that would be really appreciated 🫶🏻

Bluey is brilliant 👏, mickey mouse clubhouse and paw Patrol x

Bluey and Winnie the Pooh

My son absolutely loves nick copes popcast on CBeebies. The songs aren’t annoying at all and often find myself singing them. Super chilled tv show

My LO doesn't seem fussed on the telly but I love bluey 😂

We watch in the night garden which has funny names and nice music every night after dinnertime

We love Paddington on Netflix and Peter rabbit x

I know it is your own choice, but it probably would be best to wait another couple of years with it. If you Google it, you will find many studies related to this.

On BBC iplayer they have Julia Donaldsons books (gruffalo, Stick Man, Room on the Broom etc) adapted into 20-30min programmes - my LO likes those and so do I 😂 He also loves miss Rachel on YouTube and I think she’s quite educational so I don’t mind her.

My boy loves Miss Rachel on youtube and In The Night Garden and The Baby Club on bbc iplayer. As he gets older I'll try Bluey but he's not interested at the moment. I think cbeebies has the best programmes for little ones
