Sometimes they're snackers. Mine rarely took more than 6 oz per feed, even around 10-11 months. She just preferred to eat less and more often. It's a bit inconvenient, but she was and is growing fine so I'm not concerned.
At 3 months our schedule was wake, feed, play, sleep repeat. Most times it was 2.5 maybe 3 hours between feeds. 4-6 oz bottles. 1-1.5 hour wake windows. Longer stretches at night with 1 feed usually in the middle of the night. I wouldn’t say that’s far off from ‘normal’. If falling asleep and you don’t want that try the feed a little earlier than his sleepy cues start. That’s the only thing I can think of. I always do bottles after naps not before personally. Some people prefer to feed to sleep.
When mine was 3m, he fed every 2hrs, always 4-5oz. Now that he is almost 8m, he still takes 4-6oz every 2.5-3hrs unless sleeping. We thought introducing solids might help but not really. Some are just hungry kids!
I used to blow on my son's face to wake him, or change positions once I stay him start to get sleepy.
