Speech therapy will help him the thing is the words are in there they just need coaxing out they lack confidence to talk hence the delay but it's in there they just need therapy to get it out
@Peanut Shell he knows words but he don't talk is easier for him take my hand and pull me to an object if that doesn't work he brings and says "open please " but he knows that I know what he wants. He counts till 20 in 2 languages till 10 in third one and English from 10 down abc or twinkle twinkle sings all the time. But he won't say water or eat if I don't give him he won't eat or drink at all.
Hand over hand is normal fife autistic children my son did this till sbout 2 months ago still does it if unsure how to express his wants and needs he diesnt answer to his name either snd for specialist school had to do iq test he needed to score under 70 to be accepted he scored 68 and will be reassessed in two years. Autistic kids are so smart I'm expecting him to thrive in this autistic school and feel like he belongs because autistic kids struggle to be social etc but if their among other autistic kids they thrive emtionally and academically
My son was diagnosed age 2 he was put with speech physio therapist behaviourist and occupational therapy your child needs a speech that was my priority with my son it makes it hard for us to help when we don't know how done msy say him knowing three languages could be confusing him so lacks confidence to speak try to teach him the language he will be schooled in as it can cause learning difficulties if he has to learn different languages it's slit fir a young child. Maybe concentrate on one language that he will be expected to know for school
@Peanut Shell we communicate in English at home so yes English and you do have right I think we will switch to just one language. I'm so worried about him he's 2 so regression hits now I'm scared he will stop talk.
I grew up knowing 4 languages at age 4 but I couldn't grasp English because of the other languages the speech therapist said it fine for kids to speak their mother tongue but if there schooling will be in English then English should be the main language otherwise they will struggle so mum stopped people from other cultures that I knew how to speak respectfully and people understood that it would damage me academically unless I was going to be schooled in those 4 languages
My son is asd 3 he started talking a handful of words 3 months ago his 5 year two months old
