No walking after first steps

Our son took his first independent steps two weeks ago and we were over the moon! But since then he has not been interested in walking and just crawls everywhere. Did anyone else LO do the same and if so how long before they tried to walk again?

My little girl took first steps week before she turned 1 then was a good 2/3 weeks before she independently started to walk, she went back to cruising between furniture. Still was hesitant for a couple weeks and nervous to walk. Now she’s really good walking but not keen on outside for too long x

Mine is exactly the same. He's super fast at crawling and he just wants to climb everything 🙄 I think my 3 year old constantly tearing the place about puts him off to be honest. We try to get him to walk between me and my partner but after a few runs he gets bored and just climbs over my shouler and onto the sofa 🤣 Ive also noticed he likes to practice walking when he thinks no one is watching so I try not to preassure him to do it too much. I know he'll get there.

He'll do it again when he feels ready, no worries. My boy took his time like that. You can try gently encouraging it, but I wouldn't push too much because it could have a counter effect.

Same as My LG we were so happy and then nothing .. I think I made it worse by trying to push her so now I’m just leaving her to it

Probably 4-6 weeks after the first steps x

I could have written this myself! She’s been standing independently getting herself up and down for 6 weeks… then finally a week ago she took the plunge to do 4 steps on her own, we were beyond excited, we had two days of that and it’s like nope I prefer to crawl actually 🫠
