Toddler hates nappy changes

My daughter is 14 months old and absolutely hates nappy changes lately. When she gets poop in the frontal region, she gets really upset when we try cleaning the area. She’ll kick up a fuss, kick etc and get so stressed by it that she ends up a little sweaty. We’re wondering if she has a vaginal infection. Has anyone experienced this with their baby? Any signs to look out for?

My baby hasn't got a vaginally infection but nappy changing has been a quest since around 18 months I think. Now it's a full blown fight and she's almost 26 months. She doesn't mind the bum wiped but the front and between the legs is a nightmare. I give her toys to try and distract her, tried letting her stand up to be wiped. Tried the potty. Nothing. Even given her stuff that we don't let her normally have. IE wallets and keys in hope but nothing. If you are worried she may have an infection definitely contact the GP just to eliminate it or get it treated x

We had the nappy fight from bout 14/15 months, think it from the lack of control for them. We’ve found switching to pull ups helped, as for just wee changes she could stay stood up to be wiped that when it comes to poo changes she’s happy to lay down for them

@Emma I think we’re going through a similar phase. She doesn’t mind having her bum wiped but when it comes to the front it’s a nightmare. Even if it’s just a quick wipe after wee
