Water & Food frustrationšŸ„²

Hello mamas, so Iā€™ve been unable to eat certain foods and fruits since pregnancy. Iā€™m currently 17weeks pregnant, but Iā€™ve so far not been able to keep down oranges, bananas, hotdogs, fish, a type of my native soup(Ogbono soup) and honestly it makes me feel sad. I literally feel sick immediately eating these, and would end up vomiting throughout and I donā€™t know if there are more! Canā€™t seem to drink plain water too, could throw up instantly How do you people cope with thisšŸ˜ž What else should I be expecting? Itā€™s sad I canā€™t eat some of the things I want and love so much!

Hey mama, donā€™t feel bad with my first pregnancy all my favorite things made me sick. I couldnā€™t do black tea only green tea, I couldnā€™t do fish either, fried foods were hit and miss and mint was the worst. Certain soap smells would make me throw up too. I had to switch to kid toothpaste cause the mint toothpaste made me sick every time I used it.

I was prescribed Ondansetron 4mg, I wouldn't have been able to get through this pregnancy without it as I couldnt eat or drink anything without feeling sickšŸ™ˆ

@Justice I really donā€™t know what else to došŸ˜ž Iā€™ve just ate a nice rice and sauce my husband made. I knew he made it with fish, but he had to remove the fish before serving me. I have just mistakenly eaten a very small fish, Iā€™m sure it broke inside the sauce. And now I feel so sick like I want to throw up any moment.šŸ„² Not been able to drink water since last night too

@Lynds I do have anti sickness medication. But I feel this has to do more with my baby or the pregnancy accepting and not accepting some certain kind of food

I was put on cyclizine at first and it made me sleepy and I kept throwing up even with it being in my system, could be that the anti sickness you're taking may not be right

@Lynds I see. Iā€™m on cyclizine too

Hey hun! Have you tried the b6 and unisom method? I heard about other pregnant women swearing about it.. just a few days ago I was gagging over everything and throwing up!!! Started the b6/unisom and omggggg I couldnā€™t be more relieved !šŸ„¹šŸ™šŸ¾ of course talk to your dr about it but this is what worked for me. Wishing you the best ! (Iā€™m almost 11weeks)

@LaLa never heard for thatšŸ„ŗ Whatā€™s that please? Any pictures?

@Jane Bernard so b6 is a vitamin you can find at any convenient store. Personally we got mine at target. Same for the unisom. Itā€™s a sleeping aid. Iā€™m no dr. lol so Iā€™m not sure why the two together work well or if one works better than the other.. but what Iā€™ve seen most pregnant women do is take the vitamin in the am & the unisom right before bed. I do the same, except I only take a half of the unisom before bed. I havenā€™t felt this ā€œgoodā€ in so long. Today was the first day Iā€™ve been nauseous in a while.. but I think thatā€™s because Iā€™m not eating enoughšŸ˜©

Oh, i see. Thank you very much

Of course! You can even look it up on this app for more reviews! šŸ’•

@LaLa Iā€™m 17weeks + 5days. I looked forward to it going away this 2nd trimester. But well well wellšŸ˜« I take Pregnacare vitamins, and it has a lot of B vitamins, Iā€™m not so sure itā€™s advisable for me to take any external vitamins for now. Will call my GP tomorrow for real

Awwww okay yeah def check in with doc first! Wishing you the best!
