@Lily no, told me it’s most likely from my cervix. Whatever that means? Xx
That’s so bad they didn’t see you even just to reassure you. Could you maybe get another opinion/speak to another midwife if you call them again? Hope someone can give you advice x
It does look like it’s normal, as your cervix gets irritated easily, you can bleed. A lot of women bleed after sex etc. Doesn’t look like there’s any mucus in it so I wouldn’t be concerned it’s your bloody show. Obviously it’s alarming and easy for others to say it’s fine but I wouldn’t contact them again and say you’re concerned and would like them to check you over. Not sure why they didn’t offer this as peace of mind x
Ask to be seen - red blood is fresh blood x
I would also call back and speak to someone else or tell them you’re concerned and would like to be checked. I have been into triage 3 times with bleeding, they’ve never found anything concerning, and it could be ‘normal’ for me, but they told me to get checked any time there’s blood. Bleeding isn’t ‘normal’ in pregnancy and should be checked. When I’ve been in they’ve done an internal examination to check if cervix is open (which for me it hasn’t been), checked my vitals and popped me on monitor to check baby. Following on from above, if you have had sex in last 24hrs they they’ll will likely say this is the cause.
@Samantha I haven’t had sex for a few days so I don’t know if it can happen a few days after? The blood was mixed with clear discharge but I’m really not sure . Thank you for your advice x
@Jessica have you any idea what this could be? Xx
Do you know where your placenta is? I had this a week ago and it was because my placenta is low lying x
@Jessica my placenta is anterior. I had a private scan yesterday and baby is in perfect position head down and growing fine x
It could be something innocent and is common but I am surprised they’ve not told you to come in. I’d definitely ask them to be seen, just incase it’s the start of something c
I’ve just been the toilet again and had quite a large bit of brown on the paper when wiping x
Brown is a good sign as it means it’s old blood, so the fresh blood has stopped. I would still get seen though just to be safe. If you decide not to though or they still tell you not to go in, if you get any pains or notice any changes in movement be sure to ring them again.
Did they not ask you to go in to be checked over? Hope everything is ok x
