Daytime naps

We are struggling with daytime naps with LO ( 10 weeks old), so she will only sleep in mine or my husband arms in the day and it’s a whole mission! We have to have white noise on, rocking her, tapping her bum and shh her continually in order to get her to sleep. When she is finally sleeping, sometimes she will only be sleeping for 20 minutes then wake up. But straight away, she will start yawning and crying but we cannot get her back to sleep even though she is showing signs that she is still tired. We are stuck with what to do, any advice would be great! (night time is the total opposite, she will feed and go straight to sleep in her crib with no issues!)

Sleeping in your arms is completely normal at this age as they don't know you are separate people yet. How long is it between waking up and trying for a nap? Yawning is one of the last signs of being tired and actually means they already want to be asleep so they are overtired and struggle if that's the point you start trying.

All totally normal at this age. We only contact naps during the day still at 11 weeks. I find a carrier is great for getting stuff done and keeping them asleep ! Also keeping on schedule with wake windows.

I have found some serious success with baby wearing for naps. If my little one isn’t going down for a nap during the day, and I strap him on while I walk around the house or a store, he will sleep for an hour or more
