@Bryanna im wanting to do it early as well! thank you! im just gonna try and see what happens 😂
That’s why I took the crib side off first before committing to a bed. I also needed to know if I was going to need a second crib or not in 7 months time lol
We're planning on transitioning my son (12.5 months) to a Montessori bed within the next few weeks, he's slept through the night since 2 months old, and already plays with toys quietly alone in the morning (he pulls toys down from the top of the dresser that sits next to his crate)
My son is almost 2 and we haven't switched him yet. I kept reading it's best to wait as long as possible. Plus, I have a 3.5 month old and we are switching my 2 year old into another room, and it's not ready yet
My daughter went to a toddler bed at 13 months. Her transition was fantastic. She fell out twice. We had to baby proof her whole room and made sure to watch her monitor. We also made sure that her furniture were secured to the wall.
We did it at 20 months! I started with taking the side off the crib and cushioning the fall. It only took a week and then he didn’t fall out. And I think he only fell out of bed 3 times. We made his room safe. Locked the door. He was never a crib shaker so once he got out and tried the door he just put himself back to bed. We didn’t really do much to prepare him. He did go through some weird regressions though. Around 24 months he decided in front of the door was a great place to sleep. I have no regrets doing it early though. I couldn’t imagine doing it now at 3
