Changing sheets - newborn

If your LO was a little sick on their sheets in the night would you change the sheets in their moses basket/next to me cot at night?

Depends on how much sick it was. If it was a little bit of spit up I wouldn’t but if it was loads then yes I would x

Yes, we had to do this a few times!

Depends how much, he spit up a bit the other night and I just put him back in the other way round lol

A good tip - put on 2-3 sheets on the mattress and in between add a puppy pad (the training sheets used for them to pee on) so in the night you just wip off a sheet and the pad and have a fresh sheet ready underneath

@Maneek I would be mindful this might affect the safety of the sleep space, baby mattresses are breathable and all these layers could compromise that x OP, If you have space under the crib I would just keep sheets handy in case.

Yeh definitely

If its wet then yes I change it. If its a little and I'm able to wipe it up with the sheet being dry I don't worry about it.

Yes. I have multiple sheets on and in between a medical incontinence pad, so can just whip the sheet and pad off and get baby back down. Please do not use a puppy pad as the chemicals in those can hurt delicate skin.

Yep I change his sheets 2 weekly unless there is sick on them or poo/wee x
