@Molly His hearing has been checked and he can hear well! He’s got ADHD as well, but we’re trying speech therapy and he has been making more noises since the sessions, but it’s like he still doesn’t know how to put the words together

My son is 18 months as of two days ago 🥰 he's not using coherent words yet, but I explain what I'm doing when I do things. And I'm learning ASL to be able to teach him basic signs, then more signs also. Words take time to learn how to make them as coherent words. Hugs to you mama
@Elizabeth Thank you so much for, dear! I’ll try out teaching him basic signs. I want to get him talking before he goes to school in a couple years. I know someone who’s child went through their whole Kindergarten without talking and I’m afraid of that
Sign language, ASL.... Is also communication. Lingvano is a paid app but it will get you conversational in ASL. I have intersign ASL
If he can communicate in sign.... That's most definitely still communicating
Hi Laura. Welcome 😊 I haven’t actually found friends on this app either but it’s really great for getting info from more seasoned moms or moms who have experienced the same thing. My little one hasn’t had any speech problems but I do know a couple moms who did have that issue. My sister being one of them. Have they checked his hearing yet? Also I would suggest getting him into speech therapy. The sooner the better.
