C section pain

I was in the most pain in week one post surgery. Week 2 things settled and I felt better. Now during week three it is sore again and hurts. Is this normal?

Is the pain like a burning feeling or is it like complete agony like you just been opened x only asking because I had same issues xx

Also is it your first c sec

It will be sore you've had major surgery it come and went with me just dont over do it listen to your body ❤️i remember day 10 i thought i could do more things it was xmas day last year i remember getting the house sorted then went for a walk just round the corner fpr me all of a sudden i was uncomfortable again and was panicking i did something i didnt but it made me think.

It is my first c section. It is like a pulling, sometimes feels itchy but also just feels sore above and below the incision. I have been lifting and carrying baby more and potentially being more clumsy with my movements.

It’s different for everyone. My pain came and went. If I did something more strenuous than I had been, it would start to hurt again. It was like a sharp, tugging sensation in a specific spot for me. Almost like a string was being pulled on the inside or something and it would hurt pretty bad just on and off for a few months. My advice is just listen to your body. If you’re in pain bad enough that it affects your daily life, call your doctor. It IS normal to have pain here and there, sometimes for months and months after the operation. But it also is a major abdominal surgery, and if you’re worried, it’s always best to call your doctor and try to speak to a nurse or something to explain what’s going on and if you should be concerned/go in to get checked out.

I was similar. It stopped hurting enough that I didn't need painkillers by around two weeks but was still tender, then around 5 weeks I had one corner that was really sore again. I put it down to running after a toddler, but I asked my doctor who said it is normal - he said one side of the scar is where they knotted for the stitches and the other is where he made the incisions first so maybe he was too forceful! He did an ultrasound at my six week check anyway and all seemed normal and okay with the stitches so I think it'll be on and off for a little while longer.

i had this. it could be how your scar is healing it’s major surgery and it will really throw your body off as you have to look after a whole baby after having it. listen to your body try a warm bath (no bubbles but try a bath oil) and try massaging your scar with bio oil whenever you feel it getting painful. if you’re really concerned call the midwife or doctors and get seen x

Are you still taking Tylenol / Motrin? I’m exactly two weeks and am finding I’m getting a lot more of my nerve feelings back, so definitely feel a bit more itchy and point tender than before. Not as painful as that first week, but am still keeping on top of pain meds in case.
