Movement

Hi ladies. I am 23+1 today and I still haven’t felt any movement from baby whatsoever 😓 I have an anterior placenta and would not say I’m hugely overweight. How many weeks were you when you felt something?

You should get it checked as they say you should feel something by 22 weeks. I didn’t feel anything until 19 weeks and it was very light.

@Israa I have - midwives just say wait until 24 weeks 😬

If you’re really worried, keep mentioning it and maybe speak to your midwives from the maternity triage - they’re lovely and don’t make you feel silly for calling! Tommys.org does say to let them know if you haven’t felt anything by 24 weeks

@Emily I am the same with an anterior placenta and I didn’t feel anything until 24 weeks and then it just felt like bubbles popping or little vibrations.

I'm 23.5 weeks and the midwife said due to anterior placenta I might not feel anything until 28ish and not to worry. I feel like I feel kind of "gas" moving sometimes but not sure if it's just...gas. 😂

Thanks ladies. I think I’ll give it until 24 weeks (Sunday) and then call the midwives. I can def feel some kind of popping low down… x

@Emily I’m exactly the same as you 23+1 and in the same boat. I’m also getting severe pain from fibroids and sometimes wonder if that’s drowning out small movement. I was told to tell them if I don’t feel anything by 24 weeks, however on the other hand they are not worried and every scan etc they can clearly see she is moving/ heart beating. I think it can be much later for some people especially with an anterior placenta. Try not to worry but do call your hospital helpline if you’re concerned next week and they’ll check the heartbeat xx
