Are your LO’s still feeding in the night? Breast or bottle

My LO is still breast fed and has 1/2 feeds a night and asks for it in the day. My husband really thinks I shouldn’t be doing this, and it’s making me doubt myself. Would be good to know what others are doing.

We didn't do night feeds from 3 months until 13 months when all of a sudden she started them again and it's 1-2 a night (bottle fed)

My little boy still breastfeeds in the night, and also before his nap and bedtime. I don't think there is anything problematic or wrong with this 😊 breastmilk is nutritionally beneficial for toddlers too, as well as babies. If your toddler likes it and it's not a problem for you, then I wouldn't feel bad about it 😊

I don’t think that’s unusual at all! My LO doesn’t anymore but he did a few weeks ago and he stopped on his own. My mum told me we were breastfed overnight until about 18 months. Even when you look at guidance it says “Night feeds are healthy, common, and normal at least through 18 months. Many nursing toddlers continue to feed at night well beyond then. As long as it's working for you there's no reason to worry about it or change things.”

Super normal! Message the breastfeeding network for advice on Facebook 💜

Breastfed and still feeds 3 hourly in the day on days we’re together and around 5x during the night on average, sometimes more. It’s absolutely normal! Lucy Webber on instagram has some amazing resources x

For bf babies i think this is normal. Mine were all formula fed and stopped night feeding when they were weaned onto food with the occasionally night feed for comfort up until about 1 year. My 1 year old fell into routine with my 2 year olds and stopped feeding during the night quite early on his own choice and the latest he would have a bottle was between 7&9pm with sometimes 11pm being the latest, but he's never been much of a milk feeder and prefers food, I weaned him early

Not since 6 weeks old

I still breastfeed to sleep and during the night, sometimes more sometimes less. Don’t let anyone make you feel guilty, if it works for you and your baby then there is no reason to stop

My daughter generally wakes up twice in the night for a feed (breastfed), honestly I think it’s comfort. But she does drink less in the day now, I find she has a large feed before bed then just little ones through the night. Hardly anything in the day now. We find when she’s with her dad she drinks more in the day but tends to sleep through the night. It’s odd. But I don’t mind and I love the cuddles when she’s being fed anyway, and it’s only for a few minutes then she’s asleep while feeding again 🥰

We stopped BFing a month ago (she was combination fed anyway so we just switched BM to formula/Alpro). And the last 2 nights she's not had any milk for the first time. She's eaten loads more solid food in the day after never really eating much. She's 14 months.
