Hi all, I woke up this morning feeling slightly more damp down there than usual and I can’t help but worry that my waters might be leaking. This isn’t helped by the fact I was watching some videos last night about ladies going into pre term labour. For context I’ve had a busy weekend, my baby shower on Saturday wher...
How long after losing mucus plug / bloody show did you go into labour ?
Hey! Has anyone got any tips to naturally induce labour?? Did anything work for you?
Has anyone elected for a c section and been given a date by consultant ?
I’m pregnant with baby no.2 and baby is on 5th centile. My June 23 baby was average size so this didn’t happen to me the first time. Did anyone have a small June baby? What happened, did they advise you had baby early?
Baby is on 5th centile. Does anyone else have a small baby or had a small baby? I’m worried about what it means and the midwives are useless
Looking to get an elective c-section and wondering if throwing money at maternity care (on top of all the tax I pay) improves it? Had a horrific experience first time, so don’t trust the NHS. Really sad and frustrating that I was made to feel this way as I know there are lots of caring, competent people in the syst...
Hey ladies! I’m interested in seeing if you have decided whether you want to labor at the hospital, at home, or a birthing center and why? I had a hospital birth with my first child and it didn’t go the best. I’m in the midst of finding a doula and midwife for a home birth. Kind of nervous about the level of pain...
How long were you in after your planned C-section? My first was unplanned following a failed induction and my son was born at 10pm so I had to stay 2 nights, I think it ended up being around 40 hours.
Hi , has anyone breech baby moved before their planned C-section? What did the hospital do? Did they allow the C-section anyway? Our baby has been breech/transverse/ unstable lie the whole pregnancy. I’ve not thought about a vaginal birth because of this , booked in for a C-section next week at 39 weeks. I’m worr...
They have given my really tight ones and I kept telling them they were so tight but kept saying they measured my leg etc but they are digging in so bad at the top and are very uncomfortable. I am on day 3
Hi everybody, I’ve had two c sections, my second time round I’m currently 16 weeks pp. Firstly, I have a very prominent shelf which surprised me as I didn’t have one previous and I’m quite slim and petite. Secondly and more concerningly, when I’m feeling tummy, beneath my scar (not my scar itself) I’m feeling a sol...
Hi ladies, I had an elective c sec for my first baby in 2022 (quite a traumatic pregnancy so wanted as much control as poss). I’ve never believed I could labour naturally as it utterly terrifies me! Everyone has horror stories. I’d like to try to retrain my mind and embrace a VBAC….feel a long way off it at the mo...
I’m planning on having baby in the midwife led unit at Singleton, just wondering do they allow partners to stay with you afterwards as online it mentions about the bed that’s kept for the post-natal period so you can be with family/partner? I was under the impression that they have to leave by a certain time is th...
Due to be induced tomorrow and absolutely petrified from what I’ve heard, would love to hear some positive experiences? 🙏🏽
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has had a bad experience on the labour ward when they’ve gone in with contractions before 37 weeks? I’ve been discharged today as my cervix has stopped dilating at 2-3cm which is fine but the whole experience there was awful which I have never had before with Derby in this pregna...
Has anyone got any positive experience in having a vbac with minimal pain relief, and using techniques such as hypnobirthing, combs and tens machine. I have had issues in past with pain relief and want to try and avoid it as much as possible.
Will they still go ahead with it?!😩😩😩 I’m sneezy and snotty x
I’m 9 days post c section and the pain in my back (possibly trapped wind?) is unreal. Im able to walk short distances, bend well and my incision is healing well. The only thing causing me pain is my back. Anyone have anything that works?!
I’m 8 months pp and still have a pretty big belly! Is that normal? I’m not yet exercising much so wondering if it will lessen in time. I’m very short so it really looks like I’m still 5 months pregnant and it’s hard to find clothes that fit other than maternity wear :(
