Limiting screen time

I feel like a terrible parent lately. Since my son was little he has always had screen time (the tv has always been on in the background etc) but lately it’s becoming a problem and I’m angry at myself for letting him have it too much. We bought him an iPad for Christmas to make our lives that little bit easier as he...

Eats too little

My little one is almost 8 months and we are having serious issues with him eating. He has recently, as in maybe the past week or so, refused to eat any solids at all. He will close his lips as tight as he can and refuse. As to formula, he also eats so little. The highest amount he has eaten in the past week has b...

Am I a bad mom?

People in education - is this normal?

Anyone with knowledge in the education sector can you tell me if this is normal for reception aged children. My LB is starting in September and is going to an independent school. The school is quite academically focused. When I asked about sitting at desks/play based learning in reception they said it was around 6...

Nursery funding

Hey ladies - I’m just filling in a form for my daughters nursery placement and I have to obviously put in the code I’ve gotten for her funding. The code I’ve gotten consists of letters and numbers but when I go to type it into the form it doesn’t even register the letters and only the numbers show up. So I’m now thi...

Can you wean too fast?

My boy has taken to weaning much better than I expected and within a month we could go onto 3 meals as he eats everything I put in front of him. He gets excited to eat and digests well - plenty of wet and dirty nappies , no difference to before weaning except slightly fewer poos (no constipation luckily!). No reflux...

Sharing

I watch my niece, she is 7 months. My son really struggles to share his toys. He’s 20 months. He does great if it’s something that she brought from home he will happily give it to her when she drops it. I am conflicted on if it’s best to force him to share his stuff or have designated his and hers toys at this age. ...
