Baby not wanting to wean

My baby is 6 months in less than 2 weeks and we were advised last week by paediatrician to start weaning. He’s been showing signs now for ages, he tries to grab foods from you, stares at you while eating and will smack his lips 🤣 Anyways, we started on Friday and he’s not taking to it well at all. Recommendations on pre-made foods

Does anyone have any recommendations on jar or pouch savoury baby foods? My LO doesn’t really seem to be a fan of homemade purées but my sister got her a couple sweet pouches and she loves them. So figured might as well try a couple savoury ones to see if she likes them too.

Feeds

When to go from two meals to three meals a day? When did everyone also go from 4 bottles a day and drop to 3? My baby is turning 7 months and i feel 3 meals a day with her bottles around them is too much intake? Do i just stick to breakfast and dinner. Would love to know everyone elses eating and bottle schedules.

The last few days she’s becoming quite frustrated and batting the spoon away when I try to feed her, I think she’s ready to feed herself. At lunch time I do usually give her toast or something she can feed herself with and she seems to be a lot calmer th...

Paranoid about salt

I'm probably being stupid but does this sound like a lot of salt? For tea tonight my daughter had homemade vegetable soup with cheese on toast with it Normally I don't get bothered about it too much until my partner said that a stock cube went into it, just a normal Tesco's own one. My daughter had about 10 spoonfu...

Baby led vs Spoon feeding.

I know there’s been research to say baby led weaning is the way forward and when my LO was between 6-12 months I embraced it fully. Now he’s 3 he’s a terrible eater. He always wants to use his hands, plays with his food, rarely likes everything i offer from one day to the next so rarely finishes a meal and no joke...

Introducing purée to a 5 month old baby

I wonder if I started my baby with puréed food too early. He is not fully sitting yet but he does sit in a bouce chair and when I feed him with baby cereal mixed with his formula he likes it a lot. He is not choking or anything… what are the thoughts on this?

Snacks or no snacks

Hi Baby is now on 3 bottles. Morning night and late morning and dropping to morning and night next week with three meals. How big are typical nursery portions?

My lo eats breakfast at home (a big portion of porridge), and then has snack, lunch (11:30) and tea (15:30) in the nursery, which is what we also do when she's at home, and then on those days she's at home we do dinner at 5:30 and bottle at 7. However, on nursery days she seems to come home ravenous, and wants to ...
