Weaning/feeding

8 months old but he gags/chokes on foods so I have only managed purees that are really liquid for 4 or 6 months only but anything lumpy he can't manage but I have given puff veg crisps and biscuit in bits that he has made soggy enough to manage or yoghurts but I'm having a bit of struggle to try anything different a...

Picky toddler

Please tell me I’m not the only one with a toddler that barely ever eats?? I’m losing my mind over here trying to find things he’ll eat and he won’t eat like 90% of anything. The pediatrician said his growth is fine and everything but as a mom it’s literally stressing me out every single day to the point where I’m ...

Starting solids

My LO is 6 months and we are gonna start with BLW, for his first meals, is it okay if I cook his food using the same pots/blender/utensils we use for our food?

Snacks for 15 month old

Guys, I need some ideas. My 15 month old seems to be hungry all the time now. What are you letting your baby snack on beside fruit? I wish I could make all my babies food but that’s unrealistic so what are some decent stuff I can pick up at the store as well?

Solids or milk first?

My 10 month old loves food, but doesn’t swallow much at all. Just chews/sucks then pushes it out with his tongue. Probably ingests 15% of the meal. Do you think it’s because he’s not hungry? (His milk intake hasn’t dropped since starting solids. If anything, it’s increasing by a tiny bit?!)

Snacks not in high chair?

Curious if you let your little ones have snacks while in their buggy (not while you’re pushing/moving) or if you’re sat with them on their play mat or is every meal and snack time always in their high chair?

Solids

I'm starting my girl on solids now as she's turning 6 months this weekend. I know you're supposed to introduce one plain vegetable at a time to begin with, but how many people just give them whatever you're having/got in the house on that day? E.g. I've given her banana, carrot, potato and broccoli so far, as I at...

Food

Is any one else’s LO going through the not eating phase? He won’t eat hardly anything! Used to have a snack at night, now won’t have anything! Won’t eat lunch at all, has breakfast and then 3/4 mouthfuls of supper

Is this ok?

My little girl starts nursery in January, the food timings are super early compared to what we do at home. They do breakfast 8; lunch 11 and tea 3. We are only on one bottle now and she eats a variety of food so I’m not worried about that, however, our HV wants her to be weighed again as she slightly dropped to th...

Does anyone else's baby still like fruit pouches?

Sometimes if my son isn't too hungry or isn't fancying what he's eating, I'll give him an Ella's Kitchen fruit pouch because he still really enjoys them (he still obviously has proper fruit too).

Demanding “Choccy”

Made the very silly mistake of getting an advent calendar for an 18 month old who obviously doesn’t understand the concept of one a day and has never really had chocolate before. She’s now demanding choccy multiple times a day and having a meltdown when she doesn’t get it. What can I do to make her forget? Help!

Weaning

My son turned 5 months old on the 15th July, he takes 6-7oz formula bottles every 3 hours. He started waking for night feeds again and takes the same amount so is clearly hungry not for comfort. He shows all signs of being ready for solids, can sit up completely unassisted for a few minutes before he notices somethi...

Throwing everything

My 13 month old has always occasionally thrown food or other things on the floor but now it’s constant? Every meal he throws his food on the floor and once he’s had a drink throws his cup too. We’ve broke 3 water bottles this past week😂 after he’s thrown it he will get upset and point to the floor. How do I get…

Food?

Has anyone’s GP recommended baby starts on purée’s now!? My son has been spitting up a lot but as he’s on the “98th percentile” our GP isn’t worried like we are BUT she recommended he starts foods as he’s 4 months? But when I had my daughter 9 years ago…they were adamant she’s to start at 6 months…. I have neve...

Giving baby fish and meat

When did you all give your baby meat and fish? My LG is 4 months old and been told my doctors to feed her so been giving her food for about 2 weeks now she’s had so many different veggies and fruit but I was just wondering when to introduce meat to her. Do I just wait till she’s 6 months or can I give her some pure...

Yoghurt pouch bad habit

When my baby was poorly and I was just desperately trying to get him to eat anything, I let him suck the yoghurt straight out of the pouch as he absolutely wasn’t letting anything on a spoon go near him. However, since getting better he will now only suck yoghurt out of the pouches 😬. Does anyone else let their…
