Calpol and vaccines

8weeks vaccines coming up soon and was wondering if people are giving their little ones calpol before hand or waiting to see if baby has fever after the vaccines? Was recommended by my sister to use calpol 2hr prior the vacation

MIL an Anti-Vaxxer - Tips?

Hey everyone, my MIL doesn’t believe in vaccines and even has used religious exemption to avoid ALL vaccines for her kids. My husband has gotten all the childhood vaccines on his own as an adult, but his sister has not had any. Our OB recommended anyone who comes into regular contact with the baby get a Tdap boo...

How many shots did your LO get at their check up and how did they respond? If they had symptoms afterwards how long did it last for them?

ENT referral

My son has finally been referred to an ENT for all of his ear infections and I could not be more happy. What should I expect on a first visit with them? What do they normally discuss at the first appointment? Picture of my sweet baby for tax. ❤️

Tongue Tie Recommendations

My newborn girl has a tongue tie and despite two separate referrals from a doctor and midwife, we’ve still heard nothing regarding her tongue tie. Plus, she’s gaining weight really well so I’m fully expecting to be told that they won’t cut it as her weight is fine (I’ve heard NHS tend to say this regardless of how i...

3 week old straining

I’ve now had 5 back to back nights of zero sleep. My 3 week old gets put down and wakes up as he is straining to do a poo and sounds like he is in discomfort and then starts crying very loudly. He poos regularly (2-3 times a day) so not constipated. We’ve tried colief drops, infacol, baby massages, bicycles, white n...

Kissing baby

I’ll be honest, I am one of those mums who’s over the top with sterilising, washing hands and making sure no one kisses baby. But I really don’t know if I’m over reacting with this. I’ve had multiple issues with my GP surgery where they’ve touched my baby without consent etc bur I’ve never taken it further. Howev...

16 week vaccines

My little boy had his 16 weeks vaccines at 10am today. He’s got a temp of 38. Im giving him calpol as advised and I’ve stripped him into a vest and the house is of normal temp (heatings not on and windows open). He’s red hot, cheeks are red too but there’s no redness around his needle site at all. He’s barely feedin...

Doppler

Does anyone else have a Doppler? How often do you use it? Just curious 💗 *video is from a few weeks ago (I know they aren’t medically advised and I’d have reduced movements not to reply on them😊)

Gassy unsettled baby

Is it possible that what you eat can affect baby? I’m absolutely convinced that when I eat something that makes me gassy he’s also gassy. I’ve even started a food diary to try and figure out the culprits. I’m already vegan so cows milk isn’t a trigger here but so far things like pulses (chickpeas/houmous) and vegan...

Constipation

Any tips on easing constipation. Baby has been struggling for over a week now and when she does go it’s hardly anything. We’ve tried the usual plenty of water, prunes as well as a few other things but nothing is helping 😩 I’m going to call the doctors again if no improvement as they said to wait a little longer to…

Are you letting grandparents kiss baby now that they are approx 5 month old?

My partner wants to relax the no kissing rule now our LO is nearly 5 months. I'm not comfortable with it. The only issue is that I have PPA so anything I say just gets fobbed off as anxiety and unreasonable, so it would be good to see where everyone else is at!

Soya allergy ?

We’ve tried my cmpa baby on soya yoghurts the past 3-4 days and she’s come up with this today, would it have shown earlier if it was the soya? Also I was told cmpa babies are more likely to be allergic to soya than non cmpa babies so originally wanted to buy oat yoghurts but my partner purchased the wrong ones but t...

Grossed out… 😭

I am grossed out by the thought of my baby being in a swimming pool. There might be people in there with unwashed body parts, or other babies peeing in their nappies, what if my baby swallows the water. There’s no way it’s constantly filtered? I literally cannot get these thoughts out of my head. My little one LOVE...
